About us
Kalgera’s RegTech platform uses cutting-edge cognitive neuroscience to interpret financial behaviour captured in transaction data.
Recognising the serious issues facing vulnerable people, Dr Dexter Penn, a doctor and UCL dementia researcher, brought together like-minded professionals working in finance and technology to build our team. We translate knowledge from the medical world to financial services through the use of ‘deep-tech’ data science to protect vulnerable people.
Kalgera collaborated with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) on its Digital Sandbox Pilot focused on vulnerable customers to validate our algorithms using large scale data. We were selected for the National Cybersecurity Centre’s Accelerator run by Wayra. Our technology has been piloted with a Tier 1 UK Financial Institution.
Kalgera has received awards from UCL, Nesta and Tech Nation and was featured in The Sunday Times, Forbes, WiredUK, Which?, & The Financial Times.
